Echoes of the End Guide | All Chapter 1 Collectibles

Echoes of the End features several collectible items scattered throughout its first chapter. The collectibles include various Journal entries, Health Upgrades, Mana Upgrades, and optional conversations that provide additional story context.

This guide will show you where to find each collectible in the sequence you come across them, so you won't miss any valuable stuff while you play.

Secret #1 Journal: Syrouvian Ranger's Insignia

Begin your search at the chapter's opening area. You'll notice a wooden beam protruding from the first tower structure.

Scale this beam to reach the top, then move rightward along the wooden walkway that wraps around the tower's perimeter. This path leads you to a chest containing the Journal - Syrouvian.

Secret #2 - Journal: Valestin's Note

Progress forward until you encounter the first cave entrance in the chapter. Descend the cave wall completely to reach the bottom level.

Move rightward from this position, and you'll discover a chest positioned near the water's edge that holds Journal - Valestin's Note.

Secret #3 - Journal: Setweave Compass

Advance through the chapter until you reach the mechanical puzzle section, where you must remove a wooden block to operate a crank mechanism.

Once you've completed this task, climb up the nearby wall and travel leftward. You'll find a chest containing the Journal - Setweave Compass.

Optional Conversation #1

Complete the first mini-boss encounter in the chapter. After this battle, you'll notice a hanging carcass in the area.

Interact with this object to trigger the first optional conversation sequence.

Secret #4 - Journal: Valestin's Note

Another Journal - Valestin's Note awaits discovery in the beach area. Look for this chest before you interact with the rope-pulling mechanism in this section.

Secret #5 - Health Upgrade

Search for a camp area defended by two enemy units. Within this camp, you'll find a tent structure. Inside this tent sits a chest containing a Health Upgrade that permanently increases your character's maximum health.

Secret #6 - Journal: Broken Focal Brace

You can access this collectible after using a torch to burn through blocking vines, which allows you to lower a bridge structure.

Cross this newly accessible bridge and examine the small chamber on the right side. Inside, you'll locate a chest containing the Journal - Broken Focal Brace.

Secret #7 - Journal: Syrouvian Sword & Optional Conversation #2

This collectible becomes available following a combat encounter. After defeating the enemies, locate a cube object and pull it down.

Use this cube as a stepping stone to scale the wall and reach the chest holding the Journal - Syrouvian Sword. This conversation becomes available in conjunction with finding this journal entry.

Secret #8 - Journal: Bronze Bracelet

Navigate to the area with the clog and wheel puzzle mechanism. After solving this puzzle, you'll find a chest positioned atop a wall structure that contains the Journal - Bronze Bracelet.

Secret #9 - Journal: Valestin's Note

Utilize your character's special ability to manipulate the rope mechanism, pulling and releasing it to open the gate for the first time in the game. Once you've crossed through this gate, head rightward to discover another chest with Journal - Valestin's Note.

Optional Conversation #3

Continue through the chapter until you reach a camp populated with multiple enemies. Defeat all hostile units in this area, then make your way to the cliff's edge located beside the tent structure. Approach this location to unlock the third optional conversation.

Secret #10 - Mana Upgrade

From the enemy-filled camp area, take the pathway that branches to the left side. Follow this cliffside route carefully, then climb up the vine structures you encounter. This path leads you to a chest containing a Mana Upgrade that enhances your magical abilities.

Secret #11 - Health Upgrade

Progress through the chapter until you encounter two zipline sections. After using the second zipline, look for a climbable wall on your left side. Scale this wall to reach a chest that holds another Health Upgrade.
