Drawing inspiration from Icelandic landscapes, Aema's world in Echoes of the End is intended to feel immersive and grounded.

As you explore, you'll encounter locations that resemble real-world landmarks, such as Sólheimajökull Glacier and Kirkjufell Mountain, recreated with photogrammetry technology to give a sense of authenticity.

As you pass through each area, take note of the surroundings. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, the terrain, natural formations, and weather effects affect how you move through the game, solve puzzles, and find hidden upgrades.

You might otherwise miss hidden ledges, collectibles, and subtle paths if you are not mindful of your surroundings.

Experiencing Aema's world fully allows you to appreciate the game's environmental storytelling. A portion of the history of the vanished civilization and the occasions that influenced Ryn's journey are told in each location.
