Echoes of the Living Guide | Prologue & Early Game Walkthrough
A fast walkthrough for the opening sequence, including the Shed Key, Bolt Cutter, Old Gas Lamp, and the Crest Puzzle.

The prologue quickly sets the mood. You start outside, where you can't see very far and the paths are narrow, so small mistakes can hurt you early on.
Once the main path is clear, it's easy to move forward. The goal is to get to the house section where the first real puzzle gate appears by opening the first locked path and getting the right tools.
Go to the Old Shed and look at the chained gate.
Walk through the garden until you get to the Old Shed. The path curves into a small loop, and a gate with a chain on it blocks the way out.
Look closely at the gate to see what needs to be fixed. To unlock Feather Friend, look east for an owl interaction. Then go back to the shed area and focus on getting inside the building.
Get the Bolt Cutter and the Shed Key
The Old Shed won't open right away, so the next step is to find the Shed Key close by. The key could be in the alley nearby, near the shed and owl area, or near the area with the chained gate.
After you open the shed, grab the Bolt Cutter and go back to the chained gate to cut the chain and make the first opening.
Go inside the house and use the old gas lamp.
Once the gate is clear, keep going until you reach the house section. Crawl through the window that's open and grab the Old Gas Lamp.
Go upstairs, get the Old Gas Lamp, and go into the bedroom area. At this point, positioning is important for the first time, so don't rush into corners and leave room for quick turns.
Get rid of the first zombie and figure out the crest puzzle.
The next thing that will happen is that you will meet the first zombie. Clear it safely, and then work on the Crest Puzzle to find the secret path.
Use the crest mechanism until the puzzle is solved, and then go through the secret tunnel. This tunnel marks the end of the prologue flow and takes you to the next big area.
