In Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you can make your guns much better by using the Gunsmith. A great thing about this system is that your progress sticks.

If you upgrade a specific gun and then find a new version of that same weapon later, all those improvements carry over automatically. You never have to spend materials to fix the same type of gun twice.

How to Start Upgrading

Before you can work on your gear, you have to look at the skill tree. You need to buy the Mk. Upgrades there first. Once you have those skills, you can open your loadout menu and pick a tool you want to improve.

Press the button for the Gunsmith to start. In this menu, you can swap Attachments, change how the gun looks, or put points into its stats in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Using Materials and Parts

To make a weapon stronger, you need the right supplies. These are usually Metal Parts or other pieces you find in the world. The best way to get these is to take apart the gear you do not use anymore.

Instead of throwing old guns away, dismantle them to get the parts you need for your favorite loadout in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Reaching Higher Levels

Each weapon has different tiers called Mk. levels. You can choose to buy just one or two small improvements, but you should try to buy them all.

To move a gun to a higher Mk. level, you must unlock every single upgrade in its current tier. If you have all the right skills from the tree, you can upgrade a weapon three times in total.

Benefits and Passive Bonuses

Doing these upgrades changes how the gun feels when you fire it. It can help with Accuracy, Handling, Range, Mobility, or Recoil. It also makes your Reload Speed faster and lets you carry more Ammo in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

When you finish all the upgrades for an Mk. level, you get three Passive Bonuses. These might give you extra Damage or better Mobility after you get a kill.
