Here's a simple guide on how to Set Up Expeditions in Jurassic World Evolution 3.

In Jurassic World Evolution 3, expeditions play a crucial role in discovering new dinosaur fossils and extracting dinosaur DNA. The Expedition Center, which required two power units and cost $75,000 to build, manages expeditions.

Expedition Center

It should be positioned close to a backup generator or a substation connected to a power plant to maintain optimal performance. Along with a Maintenance Post near the Expedition Center and Power Plant, a Maintenance Facility should also be constructed in the area. Putting a Maintenance Team in charge of that position helps maintain everything.

Scientists are required to manage excursions and fossil study after power and maintenance are set up. To hire and manage scientists, a $45,000 Staff Center must be constructed.

To conduct more complex research efficiently, scientists train and hone their skills in this building. Additionally, fewer scientists will be needed for each project as competence levels rise.

Science Center

A Science Center should thereafter be constructed. Materials and fossils gathered during trips are handled here. The Science Center provides a location to sell any valuable minerals discovered during excavations and permits the extraction of genomic material from fossils.

Scientists need the required number of Genetics skill points to properly extract genomes. It can even take multiple scientists to finish some fossils.

Expedition Map

The Expedition Map in the Control Room or the Expedition Center is the two places to start an expedition. Only a small number of dig sites are initially accessible, but as the game progresses, more become available.

Each location on the map displays the types of dinosaur or reptilian fossils that can be found, the expedition's cost, and the level of expertise required to succeed. A site's marker will turn green to indicate that no further expeditions can be conducted there once all fossils have been discovered and 100% of the genome has been collected.

Upgrade slots can be purchased at the Expedition Center to improve performance. Upgrades like a second scientist, storm defense, or faster yield can increase expedition efficiency. In the end, these upgrades help expeditions operate more effectively, save money, and find more valuable fossils, despite their cost.
