An infected food source can sit there longer than it should. This usually happens when your Rangers are busy and have not gotten to it yet. The fix is simple once you know where to click.
Use Your Ranger Team To Disinfect The Feeder
Start by going to your Rangers. In Jurassic World Evolution 3, the Ranger Team handles this job, as before. Even if your Rangers are tied up, you can still assign the task directly.
Click on one of your Ranger Teams. Then add a new task. After that, place the team on the infected feeder to disinfect it. Once the task is set, the team should move to handle it right away.

Confirm The Drone Is Doing The Work
After you assign the task, watch for the team to arrive. When they begin, you should see the drone get sent out to the feeder. That is the sign that disinfection action is happening.

If It Keeps Staying Infected, Upgrade Your Rangers
If your feeders remain infected for long periods, your Rangers may fall behind. This is a good moment to improve coverage. Add more Ranger Teams or upgrade your Rangers so they can keep up with park needs during busy moments.
