Astro Bot
This is a surprisingly great game that surpassed almost every expectation. Team Asobi delivered an ungodly fun game with an incredible experience that delivers on all its promises and then some more. It is incredibly charming with vibrant visuals, utilizing every inch of its medium and system to offer a very immersive experience.
That is not even to speak of the incredible level design and creative use of game design, mechanics, and level design. The game provides a satisfying challenge without ever feeling frustrated. Despite being a short experience, Astro Bot leaves a memorable mark and gives a look back, enshrining and honoring the past with fantastic cameos that leave one with both joy and sadness from lost studios and games.
Black Myth: Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong is a visually stunning game with impressive level design. Each area boasts unique aesthetics and meticulously crafted environments, bringing the world to life. The game features lifelike enemy designs, from wolves in the woods to fearsome demons, and the rich sound design, with its emphasis on traditional Chinese melodies, further enhances the immersive experience. However, it does not innovate much, if at all.
While the Souls-like combat may not appeal to all players, the game offers a challenging and rewarding experience for those who enjoy action RPGs. It really is a beast from the East that almost shook the industry. Despite the developers' attitudes, which netted some much-deserved criticism, Black Myth: Wukong remains a labor of love that met and surpassed expectations and brought light to the beautiful world of the 'Journey to the West.'
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is a love letter to Dragon Ball fans, boasting a massive roster, stunning visuals, and exhilarating combat. While minor issues like AI and pacing exist, the sheer amount of content, from the engaging story mode to the competitive multiplayer, makes it a compelling experience. This game delivers a nostalgic yet fresh take on the Dragon Ball universe, capturing the essence of the franchise with its fast-paced action and impressive presentation.
Dragon's Dogma II

Shadow of the Erdtree is a masterful expansion that elevates Elden Ring to new heights. It seamlessly integrates with the base game, offering a wealth of new content, including challenging bosses, intricate dungeons, and a revised upgrade system that rekindles the thrill of progression.
The expansion boasts stunning visuals, a captivating atmosphere, and a diverse range of challenging encounters. While the initial learning curve might feel steep, mastering the combat system and exploring the expansive world is incredibly rewarding. It is tasteful, offering everything, and if it were a standalone game, it would've swept most awards anywhere.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

While it respectfully honors the original, it stands as a distinct and compelling experience in its own right.
