Plushies are a cozy collectible in Palia, and with the newest update adding Muujin and several bug-themed plushies, your hunt just got easier with a few smart tricks. Use this guide to learn where to go, when to search, and how to set up your group so you never miss a drop.
Muujin Plushies

Hunting Muujin can feel tricky, but a recent patch removed their ability to heal when they sprint up a tree, so takedowns are smoother now. Team up with at least one other adventurer.
One of you should focus on chopping the tree while the other aims at the trunk to land one or two shots as the Muujin drops. Loot sharing counts the act of cutting as participation in the hunt, so you still get rewards even if you miss an arrow, as long as you were the tree cutter.
If you are not in a party, keep the “tree role” consistent. If a Muujin escapes to a second tree and you neither chop that tree nor land a hit, you lose loot eligibility. In parties, nearby members share loot regardless of direct interaction, so grouping is very forgiving.
Best Spots For Muujin
Strong terrain helps you control movement. Thorny Thicket has a raised platform where Muujin cannot run off, with several trees for spawns. The hills above Statue Garden also work well because it is hard for Muujin to find a safe drop-off. Keep an eye out for Banded Muujin jumping up a Flow Tree—that can create a Magic Muujin (Bluebristle), which is a valuable target to secure.
Bug Plushies Overview

Several insects now have a small chance to drop a plush on capture. Focus on the Proudhorn Stag Beetle, Lunar Fairy Moth, Paper Lantern Bug, and Garden Ladybug. Partying up helps with loot sharing on night-flying insects, while selective non-party tactics help with mining-based spawns.
Proudhorn Stag Beetle
The Proudhorn Stag Beetle has a 10% chance to spawn when you break Stone or Copper Ore nodes anywhere in Kilima Valley. It can appear at any time of day but only from mining nodes. To maximize chances, mine alongside friends but do not form a party.
Break nodes individually so each break rolls its own 10% spawn chance. If a beetle appears, tag it with a Smoke Bomb quickly; since you are not in a party, you must hit it yourself to receive the catch loot.
Lunar Fairy Moth

The Lunar Fairy Moth appears from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM (in-game) across Bahari Bay except the beaches. There is no special trick beyond awareness and coverage, but dropping a Honey Lure in the fields of North Bahari Bay can cluster multiple insects together, speeding up catches. Consider hunting in a party to share any plush drops among nearby members.
Paper Lantern Bug
The Paper Lantern Bug also appears from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM and spawns in North Bahari Bay. It is green in color—this was once inconsistent but is now corrected.
Because Paper Lantern Bug plushies drop here and Lunar Fairy Moths also fly throughout the bay at the same times, working the north fields with Honey Lure lets you target both plush sources at once.
Garden Ladybug

The Garden Ladybug has a 10% chance to spawn when you forage Sundrop Lily, Briar Daisy, Brightshroom, Heartdrop Lily, or Wild Garlic anywhere in Bahari Bay.
It can appear at any time of day. Every gather is its own 10% roll, so bring a group, form a party, and move together. A single party leader makes it easy to keep pace and prevents stragglers from missing spawns.
South Bahari Bay is a strong route thanks to abundant Sundrop Lilies—useful for crafting more Smoke Bombs—and frequent Brightshroom spawns in the southern ruins.
Both the unmarked ruins and the Windy Ruins tend to produce Brightshrooms often, supporting long farming loops without supply issues. Plan your path before entering the zone so everyone knows the circuit.
Extra Plushie Sources
You can still pick up older Sernuk plushies tied to the animal’s specific coloring. Do not forget Zeki’s Lucky Coins as another way to snag plush drops when you have spare currency to spend.
