Shadow of the Colossus PS4 - How To Defeat The First Colossus

The first colossus you'll encounter in Shadow of the Colossus is Valus. This humanoid colossus is home to a flat area that is only accessible from hanging vines.

Valus starts walking south before turning around and walking back when it reaches the cliff edge. Get its attention with arrows and dodge the club when it attacks. Head to its left leg and grab on, stab it to cause Valus to fall.

Next start climbing on its back and use its platforms to reach the head. Valus will attempt to knock you off by shaking. If you need to regain your grip head to its center of its back with the most stable footing. Once its stops shaking its head start stabbing until the creature falls.
