In Shape of Dreams, there are numerous characters, each with their own unique quirks and abilities. All of them are fun to use; one such character is Bismuth.

In this guide, I will help you unlock the character Bismuth.

To get Bismuth in Shape of Dreams, you need to complete the in-game achievement "Once Upon a Time, which requires you to maintain a traveler's movement speed above 900 for at least 3 seconds.

While most travelers can technically achieve this, I recommend using Mist as her starting base speed is 520. She also has a passive ability called Light as a Feather, which provides the player with a 12% boost to speed when fully upgraded. This allows you to reach the required speed much more easily.

To maximize your speed, try to collect and upgrade specific memories. Such as Corrosive Trails, which increases the speed of your character by 15% for around 3 seconds. While another memory Immolation grants a 20% boost to your speed for about 3.5 seconds.

Upgrading these memories will add a 3% boost to each of these abilities, as well as the bonuses scale with the speed of your current character, not just the base speed. Which, in our case, means the faster you already are, the stronger the effect of the boosts.

Playing with a friend might also help, as it increases the chances of finding and sharing memories among travelers. Once you have upgraded the memories, I suggest chaining Immolation followed by Corrosive Trails to push your speed past 900, allowing you to hold it long enough to trigger the achievement.

In addition to the memories you have just unlocked, certain locations can also assist. When you reach the Star Sky area, check the map for a place that notes "Time flows faster than usual in this place."

In this area, you get a movement speed bonus of 35%, which can make getting the achievement easier, especially if you only have one of the memories.

By combining the right traveler, upgraded memories, and locations, reaching the required speed becomes very easy.
