To earn a Medal, Macbeth on the Nintendo Switch 2 must collect 150 hits, and there's also a bonus objective: collecting all eight hits to derail the train and open the way to Area 6. Both can be accomplished in the same run. The main thing is to have enough Bombs.

If you're coming from Solar, you may have less than you'd like, but there's still plenty of Bombs around the level. The wagons attached to the train are your primary source of hits, so continue to shoot them throughout the train.

The Train Wagons

From the moment the level starts, focus on the wagons. Each wagon you destroy contributes to your total hits, and there are a lot of them along the length of the train. Continue shooting them throughout each section, even if there is something else on screen. Not every time will you get feedback that your shots are hitting the wagons, but they are. Believe it and keep shooting.

If you have a Bomb, remove the turrets on top of some wagons. Some of those turrets also drop Bombs when destroyed, but you must be quick to pick them up before they vanish.

Flying Ships and the Corridor

If small ships show up, shoot them charged to get rid of them quickly. Before entering the corridor part, pick up the Bomb on the left side, you will need it soon.

Five Butterflies enter the corridor in the middle. Don't fire as soon as you see them. Wait a couple of seconds until they are in a line, then shoot them all with one charge. You can earn up to nine points for that one shot. Follow it with another charged shot to get any remaining targets.

The Bridge Section and the Fuel Tanker

This is the most difficult shot in the level. There are two turrets on the bridge with a Fuel Tanker in between. Place a Bomb directly on it. When it's right, it will destroy both turrets simultaneously and award you a significant amount of points at once. Take a moment to line up the shot before releasing the Bomb.

In this section, deal with any aircraft that pursue Falco. If Falco falls down here, he will not be able to assist you in hitting the switches later.

There is another Fuel Tanker further down. Destroy it for more points. Continue to hit wagons between and collect the checkpoint when you arrive. At this stage you should have approximately 106 hits, which should give you the Medal with some spare.

Pre-Switch Section

Once past the checkpoint, continue to shoot enemies and collect any Rings required for health. In this section there is a Bomb under the bridge — pick it up. Bombs transfer to Venom, so each bomb you carry counts.

Hitting All Eight Switches

The game tells you here that you have to activate 8 switches to derail the train. Here are the ways they are organized. Switches one, two, and four are grouped together on the right side. Switch three is on the left. That's the first four. Switch five comes shortly after. Further ahead in the distance, you can see switches 7 and 8. Behind a blast door is switch 6. Switch eight is handled by Falco alone, allowing you to concentrate on switch seven. Shoot it cleanly. Use a Bomb if you are having trouble hitting it with regular shots. Don't risk missing it.

If R.O.B. sends supplies during this section and you would have to take your eyes off a switch to grab them, then skip the supplies. The switches are more important.

When all 8 are activated, you receive a 50 hit bonus on top of all the other bonuses. That brings the total to over 150 and the Medal is yours.
