Tamagotchi Plaza on the Nintendo Switch 2 not only offers improved graphics and brighter colors, thanks to the more advanced screen, but it also provides numerous benefits with the new console. Additionally, it features exclusives for those who have purchased the upgrade.
With many games available on both the original Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2, they often include exclusive items for the new console to try and encourage gamers to purchase it instead of the last-gen port of the game. Honestly, it kinda works.

Tamagotchi Plaza contains a total of 10 different mini-games, which is the overall main point of the game - to go around and play mini-games and meet more Tamagotchi and unlock things for the town. However, those who have the upgrade on their Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to access an additional two mini-games.
How To Unlock Secret Switch 2 Shops in Tamagotchi Plaza
To be able to unlock the secret shops within Tamagotchi Plaza, players will need to upgrade certain shops to level Metchi, which is (2 stars), and others to Gotchi level, which is (3 stars), to unlock Afternoon Pool and Glasses Galette Shop. However, for those who want to unlock Sushi and Shuriken shops, they will just need to complete all 10 shops.
As pictured above, once players have completed all ten mini-games, a cutscene will occur, revealing secret shops that can be unlocked and their locations. The Sushi and Shuriken shops will be located in a small alley near your houses, as well as the Personal Training Gym, where gamers previously played. You will also need to speak with the King and Princess, who will unlock their shops and mini-games upon being spoken to.

Below are all the different shops that are considered "collab shops," which, as players upgrade them, will make them collab shops. These should be familiar if you've already played all ten of the mini-games.
- Afternoon Tea Shop + The Night Pool = Afternoon Pool
- Galette Shop + Eyewear Shop = Glasses Galette Shop
Following all these steps and simply upgrading the shops, as well as talking to the necessary characters, will allow players to unlock the secret shops. Do note that these shops (Sushi and Shuriken) are only available to those who have purchased the Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade version of the game.
