Finding the Fine Woollen Hood in Winter Burrow is required to continue Moss's quest line and to move toward locating Pinesap. Pinesap is Moss's partner, and you take on the task of helping Moss by retrieving Pinesap's Hood.

Requirements Before Searching

To reach the Fine Woollen Hood, you must have the Flint Axe, as you need it to clear the blockage along the route. Before leaving Moss' home, make sure your warmth level is full.

Carry food that grants cold resistance, such as Pine-nut Biscuits or Hazelnut Biscuits. If you have the Lamp from Gnawtusk, equip it because the route includes dark sections in Winter Burrow.

How to Reach the Area

From Moss' home, move north toward the place where you found the Heavy Key. From the skull landmark in that area, move left until you transition into the next zone.

As soon as you enter, vines will block your way. Use your Flint Axe to cut them. Continue heading northwest from this point, and you will come across another set of vines. Cut these as well and continue forward.

After passing through the opening, move north into the next zone. When the route divides, follow the path on the left until you reach a caravan, a fire pit, and a backpack. At this point, gather the Kindling from the backpack and light the fire to regain warmth. If night is near, you can rest by the fire.

Finding the Fine Woollen Hood

When you are ready to continue, move south and cut through the thorn vines with your Flint Axe. In the following zone, continue left. You will eventually reach the Fine Woollen Hood on the ground. Pick it up and return it to Moss to progress the quest in Winter Burrow.
