6 years ago Dead Island 2's trailer dropped and since then nothing. The game has been on a lot of player's minds and Deep Silver wants everyone to know they're still working on the project.
The original title came out in 2011, with Yager, the original developer being dropped in 2015, and the company filed for insolvency in July 2015. The game was then handled by Sumo Digital before being moved to Dambuster Studios.
So yea, this game has had a troublesome development, and based on other game's that followed this path the final product could be serviceable or an entire wreck. Regardless I'm sure fans just want something to hold on to.
