Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Coming to the Nintendo Switch

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning garnered a lot of positive acclaims for the successful but horribly budgeted and managed original title. Now those on Switch can play the game this March 16th.

For those unaware, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was met with critical acclaim but due to the closure of 38 Studios due to poor management and the franchise reverting to the State of Rhode Island the title fell into obscurity. EA helped publish the original game and thereby owned the rights until THQ Nordic obtained the rights and re-released the title as Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

The remaster was met with mostly positive reception but only because of the core game's elements. When taking into consideration it was a remaster the game was poor due to only improving the visuals and not the technical issues. THQ Nordic did greenlight a new expansion called Fatesworn due out this year. With the Switch version launching before the DLC's launch.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will release on Nintendo Switch on March 16th, 2021. The game is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
