Crash Bandicoot, the classic platformer from the 90s, is still being cared about with mainline and spinoff games. Recently, the current developers of the Crash series, Toys for Bob, came up with a unique idea for Crash Bandicoot. A MOBA game, just like League of Legends and Dota, with the Crash characters was released. Called Crash Team Rumble, this title was a surprise for everyone, including the old fans who knew Crash as a jumping and dashing bandicoot.

Although people were quite skeptical about Crash Team Rumble, the current state of it is quite stable with positive responses from regular players. As the newest title also picks up more attention, Activision is very much pleased with the works of Toys for Bob in the past few years. Starting from the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Toys for Bob was credited also for Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash 4: It’s About Time as well. Now with the Crash Team Rumble, Activision wants to see more action from the developers and is interested in what they can come up with.

This begs the question if Toys for Bob can go for a complete remake of titles such as Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity. While this would cause a big hype train to depart, there are a few issues to take note of. PS2 era and onwards of Crash Bandicoot games were made by different developers and published by other companies, therefore it would create extra paperwork to get those titles back into Activision’s own pool of IPs. In overall condition, it is more likely that Toys for Bob will be commissioned to make another game for the series with a different premise, story, and theme.

Right now they are busy handling the Crash Team Rumble’s feedback and putting efforts to get themselves into the multiplayer market. Toys for Bob also helped the Call of Duty: Warzone’s development under the Activion’s roof as well, making them a strong candidate for the task of another Crash title. In short, we can expect to see more Crash Bandicoot-related content in the future, whether it's a remake or a completely new installment. As long as Toys for Bob is involved, Crash is in good hands.
