It seems that THQ Nordic had a big reveal prepared for The Game Awards, it would seem that Steam dropped the ball on it before the show. Called Fade to Silence, and it's coming to Steam Early Access soon.
The character-driven Survival RPG game was supposedly going to be revealed after the THQ Nordic's reveal site timer expired. Apparently Fade to Silence will be an Early Access game starting December 14th. According to the listing, it's described as:
"We believe nothing is a more personal game-experience than a survival game. Our goal is to develop something that drags you deep into the cold and deadly world of an apocalyptic winter. Therefore, for us this game will only be perfect if we can get feedback from the community. Early Access is designed for that."
The Early Access version of the game will include:
Construct, upgrade and defend your refuge
Rescue and recruit followers
Coordinate your followers for resource management
Combat a variety of eldritch monstrosities
Go out on expeditions with your followers on your wolf sled
Explore the initial release of the game world, roughly 10 km2 area, under dynamic snowfall and time of day
All the while trying to survive the deadly blizzards in this post-apocalyptic world.
The final release is scheduled for August 2018.
