It's been quite a while since Dying Light released but the survival-horror game did leave a mark for fans of the genre. Now Techland is preparing to throw its hand in the Battle Royale genre after the massive success of PUBG and Fortnite with a new mode called "Bad Blood".
The 10-minute footage uploaded by IGN shows the online mode in its pre-alpha state blending together PvE and PvP content. 6 players will be tasked with getting weapons, loot, destroying hives of infected and getting blood samples, and trying to catch a ride out of danger. According to the alpha, players can see other players progression and can attack one another to steal their loot.
No official date was provided but the studio has assured fans it'll come this year. Techland is looking to offer a free Global Playtest on Steam and you can sign up here.
Dying Light is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
