Respawn Entertainment's quickly growing battle royale, Apex Legends, is wrapping up another season. Season 5 was full of new additions, including a supporting character named Loba, new map sections on King's Canyon, as well as a set of Player vs Environment (PVE) quests to give the characters a bit of backstory. For those who don't know, Apex Legends takes place in the universe of Titanfall, which gives the game free rein to reference and pull characters or locations from the series.

At the end of the most recent questline, players were introduced to a new robotic hero known as Ash, saying she could be found in Olympus. This new location is potentially the name of a new Apex Map. But before jumping into the new season, the current one has to end. But when might that be?

Ash, Titanfall 2

Based on past Apex seasons, players should expect one season to flow directly into another, after a 3 month period. Therefore, fans are speculating that the next season of the game will launch in early August, giving the company plenty of time to reveal the upcoming season properly. In addition, the game has been adding one character per season, as well as a new gun. Although season 5 got the traditional character, no gun was revealed, leading many to believe that a new weapon will be revealed with Ash later this summer.

As for the new character, Ash is an antagonist from Titanfall 2; a Pilot that was placed into a robot body such as Revenant. After her in-game defeat, she is rebuilt with no memory of her previous life but is intent on discovering these secrets. Although the character was originally a villain, Apex will likely be incorporating her as another team member that helps to defeat Revenant.

Ash, Welcome to Olympus

Ash is cold, strategic, and has a sense of honor despite consistently playing with her prey. Even after being rebuilt she maintains this honor but acts much less antagonistic than before. Specific details about her character in Apex have yet to be revealed, but these points are known from the Titanfall storyline.

Due to all of her abilities throughout the Titanfall games, there are numerous abilities that Ash could have when she releases, such as a jetpack, Vortex shield, or even tactical missile clusters. Although the missiles would be out of place, as no other champions have abilities that deal as much damage, these are just speculations based on in-game abilities. As of now, Apex Legends fans will have to wait for the official release and beginning of season 6, hopefully in less than a month.

Apex Legends is free to play for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
