Last week the "small but scrappy video game studio," Campo Santo, announced its very first game. The studio has apparently had difficulty keeping quiet about the project, accidently leaking concept art and mistakenly revealing the game's name on a podcast episode.

A slip of the tongue is a minor mistake and one journalists and fans love. Setting things straight, Campo Santo officially announced Firewatch late last week. Set in the Wyoming wilderness, Firewatch is a single-player, first-person exploration game where the player's only connection to humanity is a handheld radio.

Through the radio Henry, a fire lookout, communicates with one person, his supervisor Delilah. Henry's job requires him to keep the wilderness safe by looking for smoke atop a mountain, but soon he is drawn away from his lookout tower as something strange catches his eye. Out of his normal comfort zone, Henry begins exploring a lush and unknown wilderness. Risking his one relationship, questions and choices will pop up for the player that may build or destroy his tie to Delilah.

Campo Santo plans to release Firewatch on Windows, Mac and Linux in 2015. Visit the game's official website for more information.
