Diablo IV has been making some damn good updates so far, especially with the Vessel of Hatred DLC release. It seems they seek to continue this cycle as they are holding a Public Test Realm, short for PTR, for the game. They seek to test features they plan to add for the game’s Season 7, which is slated to arrive next year. The PTR will run from December 3 to December 10. While the exact content within the PTR is subject to change, here is everything that has been revealed so far.
The Armory in the Diablo IV Patch 2.1 PTR lets you organize and save your builds, seemingly giving you five total slots. So, you can now have five builds saved for each of your characters. Upon selecting them, you can also see an overview of their equipment, skills, and Paragons.
Interestingly, you can switch between these Diablo IV builds with different Paragons without costing gold. To access the Armory, you need to be in a city or an important location like the Citadel and Tree of Whispers
You will gain access to three new schools of Hawezar sorcery in the Diablo IV Patch 2.1 PTR. These are the Eldritch School, giving you a mix of polymorphy and destruction; Psyche, a defensive school that relies on effects; Growth & Decay, a twisted art that heals and harms.
Each of these schools has its own unifying mechanics with Witchcraft Powers. To learn these new powers, you need to earn a reputation by completing Whisper bounties to earn Restless Rot. Afterward, you visit a Coven’s Altar at the Tree of Whispers to learn new powers or upgrade existing ones.
Among other content, you have a new enemy type in the Headrotten. Powerful enemies who you can hunt down in return for Occult Gems. These seasonal items are crafted Socketables that grant a variety of bonuses relating to Witch Powers. Aside from that, you also have three new runes for Vessel of Hatred players. You also have new legendary aspects and unique items for each of the classes.
Again, the Diablo IV Patch 2.1 PTR will be available from December 3, allowing players to transfer their character for testing. Players have a chance to playtest and provide feedback. Aside from this, there is likely to be a litany of changes for all the classes and many items, so stay tuned for more news on Diablo IV!
