Divinity Original Sin 2 Receives Free Four Relics Update
The game has been patched with new quests and features

Divinity Original Sin 2 first launched on PC in 2017 and has received major patches with new features and gameplay changes. A major overhaul dubbed “Definitive Edition” coincided with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, and included even more new and altered questlines. Since then, developer Larian Studios has continued to release small updates and official cheats known as Gift Bags.
Larian showcased what they call “[their] biggest Gift Bag of free content to date”, the new Four Relics of Rivellon update. The Gift Bag focuses on finding and using four unique and powerful armor sets added to the game. The new content is spread out through the entire game, opening up new missions and fights at major regions like Fort Joy and Reaper’s Coast. Larian clarified that accessing Relics of Rivellon would require starting a new game, as the content would not be applied to save games.
It is surprising that Larian is still taking care of Divinity Original Sin 2, especially as most of their staff has been working on Baldur’s Gate 3. That project seems to be the studio’s main focus, and may be a reason why Divinity Fallen Heroes is currently in development limbo.
