With the confirmation of Xbox Scarlett back at E3 2019 and releasing next year, many are wondering about the next-generation of consoles. Although the PS5 has not been announced, footage of the running games have been leaked online and it seems that some developers are thinking about bringing their games to the next consoles. With Techland, who will launch Dying Light 2 for Xbox Scarlett and PS5.
When talking to Wcctech, Techland stated: “Techland always has an eye on the latest new toys!” Rohlede said. “To be more specific — yes, the plan since the beginning of production has been to make Dying Light 2 a cross-generation title.”
Considering that Techland is still making DLC for the original Dying Light despite its sequel being developed shows a lot of admiration for their games. From what we saw at E3 2019, the game already extraordinary and to have the game running on new upgraded hardware will most likely mean better textures and smoother frame rate.
Dying Light 2 is set to launch in the first half of 2020 and will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
