Techland is hard at work developing Dying Light 2 but those still diving into Dying Light can try the new battle royale mode called Bad Blood this September.

Bad Blood has 12 players scavenging for resources and fighting to survive. Only 1 player can leave in the helicopter and that 1 person must secure the blood samples. When taken other players can kill the opposing player for their spot on the helicopter.

The early access expansion will be priced at $19.99 and a Founder's Pack will be available that includes exclusive in-game content, currency, and 3 legendary skins that will be delivered over the course of 3 months.

Maciej ÅÄ…czny, the executive producer at Techland, said in a press statement:

“We’ve always been keen to add more PvP multiplayer to Dying Light. We’ve read all of the messages from players on social media and forums, and multiplayer has been a hot topic. We’ve also seen how players have embraced Be the Zombie and that inspired us to expand on multiplayer. But we want to do it in the Dying Light way, where this world swarming with infected is just as much a threat as the other players.

“This is how Dying Light: Bad Blood came to life, a game based on these key principles: the freedom and fast pace of parkour movement, the constant threat of the Infected, and the creative brutality of melee combat. Combined they offer an all-new brutal royale experience. Now we encourage the community to help us fine-tune the game before its release.

This early access testing is only available on PC but the full mode will launch on all platforms.

You can sign up for playtests occurring during August 25-26 and September 1-2. Registration is open until August 22nd through the official site. Taking part in the testing will not get you the bonuses for purchasing the early access admission this September.

Dying Light is now available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Dying Light 2 is in development for the same platforms.
