God of War comes out next month and starts a new chapter for the God of War franchise. A sequel to the original trilogy but a reboot of Kratos who will now face Norse mythologic creatures and gods. In an interview with PlayStation director Cory Barlog, went on to explain how the team developed this new world.
Barlog stated in the interview how his team traveled to Iceland and even rented out a church to record the game's soundtrack. Perhaps the most interesting piece of information was discussing Kratos himself.
Kratos has had several games, ranging from the core trilogy to the PSP releases, to develop a personality that many gamers recognize and understand. However, this time around the angry warrior has developed a more patient persona for his son after losing his first family due to his own actions. Learning from his past mistakes Kratos attempts to raise his son to the best of his ability.
God of War will release for PS4 on April 20th, 2018.
