Mafia III's Radio Features 100 Licensed Tracks Altogether
Mafia III's radio will take you on a musical journey through the 1960s
News by Grayshadow on Oct 04, 2016
The open world of Mafia III will feature a fictional recreation of New Orleans in 1968 but the soundtrack will have a unique playlist from the 1960s.
In an interview with We Write Things Haden Blackman, the creative director and studio head of Hangar 13, explained that:
“We have three distinct radio stations in the game that each have their own playlists. Combined, they provide a very eclectic range of music from the late 1960s – we’ve got over 100 licensed tracks in the game altogether. I think that everything absolutely belongs to the setting, or helps us tell the story,” Blackman said.
The game will also include an original soundtrack created by Jesse Harlin and Jim Bonney.
Mafia III launches on October 7th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can view the trophies/achievements here, but be warned that they contain spoilers.
