Marvel's Spider-Man 3 Being Developed Along With Insomniac's New IP

Marvel fans will be pleased to know that Insomniac Games will be quite busy in 2025. It appears that they are working on a new IP concept and three major Marvel games, including Marvel's Spider-Man 3. Insomniac is targeting to release two of these games in 2025 or early 2026, while at least one of the games will make the 2025 release window. 

What's most exciting for Spider-Man fans is that it's been confirmed that Marvel's Spider-Man 3 is currently being developed. In this installment, the Green Goblin is the major nemesis, with Doc Ock returning and Cindy Moon as a brand-new Spider-Man who will most likely be playable. This third entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series is intended to be fairly large, with initial plans to release it in two parts (Part One and Part Two). However, this strategy is doubtful and yet to be confirmed by Insomniac Games.

Since there was no story DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, there's a lot to do in the new Spider-Man game. Insomniac will need to pay close attention to Cindy Moon's role, Peter Parker, and Miles Morales, as well as the major Green Goblin arc and the Doctor Octopus reveal. Additionally, we may see villains such as Chameleon, who was teased in Spider-Man 2.

With Null also teased in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the question is whether we will see Null in a Venom game within Marvel's Spider-Man 3 or whether it will be saved for a Spider-Man 3 DLC or a potential Marvel's Spider-Man 4 later. Marvel's Spider-Man 3 is still a long way off, with an anticipated release date of 2027 or 2028. It's possibly being developed for PlayStation 6, the next-generation platform, and might be released on PlayStation 5 at a later date, followed by Steam.

What's more interesting is that Insomniac Games is working on a brand-new IP, which is likely to be revealed in 2025. They're currently working on the conceptual idea and the initial stage of this new IP. We don't know anything else about Insomniac's new IP and the game's concepts—whether it's a brand-new IP from scratch or if they're going to adopt another Marvel IP like Daredevil or Doctor Strange, as they teased in Marvel's Spider-Man.

It would be fantastic if Insomniac released a Daredevil game and expanded their Marvel Universe with titles such as Daredevil and Doctor Strange, both of which could feature Marvel's Spider-Man. It seems likely that this will be a completely new IP, but only time will tell. Hopefully, we will see a Spider-Man 2 PC port before 2025.

Hopefully, we'll also get a major gameplay reveal for Marvel's Wolverine, which is expected to be released in 2026, even though Brian Horton Left Marvel's Wolverine for Perfect Dark. Furthermore, we may see the reveal and release of Marvel's Venom game, which is expected to be ready by 2025, given that they canceled the Marvel Spider-Man 2 story DLC and are presumably working on the Marvel's Venom game this year.
