Nintendo Confirms Details of Its Super Smash Bros. eShop Sale

Nintendo is celebrating the upcoming release of their new Super Smash Bros. game with a month-long sale. Leading up to the US release, Nintendo will be offering discounted video games, based on the Super Smash Bros. roster, on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Right now you can get Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario 3D Land, Yoshi's New Island, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream and Super Mario 3D World at a discounted price. The next sale will begin on September 11, followed by September 18, and the last sale will start September 25.

Currently in development by Sora Ltd. and Namco Bandai Games, Super Smash Bros. is the latest installment in Nintendo's popular fighting franchise. Featuring popular characters from both Nintendo and 3rd party developers, Super Smash Bros. currently has over 30 playable fighters.

The weekly sales will end on October 3 when Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS is released in the US. A release date for the Wii U version hasn't been confirmed yet but will release by holiday 2014.
