The yearly footbal simulator showdown is still months away. Be that as it may, Konami has come forth unveiling details about the next installment in its Pro Evolution Soccer series. When talking improvements, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 is said to boast a new strategic dribbling system which includes contextual shielding to protect the ball. The Real Touch + system will allow players to receive the ball using permissible body parts, depending on where the ball comes from. Full 11-vs-11 online options, myClub, alongside co-op 2v2 and 3v3 modes with local support will be available. The Random Selection match type also returns, while Master League will implement pre-season tournaments, a new transfer system and pre-match interviews.
The e-Sports centered PES League will also be part of the deal, allowing for an easier entry into next year's competition. This year's competition will be settled ahead of June's UEFA Champion's League final, having a prize of $200,000. Pro Evolution Soccer will be available come September 12th on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 for the price of $59.99 or your regional equivalent. The PC version is said to "enjoy parity with current gen formats". Head on over to the game's Steam page for more information on pre-order bonuses.
In case you haven't picked last year's title, Ron praised it in his Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 Review. As it was his favorite title from last year, he also wrote down a couple of PES improvement suggestions. We're curious to see if any make it into this year's installment.
