If you're starting The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and want a quick guide to becoming rich early on, in the game, you can start right after you exit the sewers, following the tutorial.
Get a Mortar and Pestle
As you travel through the tutorial sewers, be sure to pick up a mortar and pestle. If you didn't pick one up during that level, you will have to purchase one later on. The device is used for brewing potions.
Gathering Grapes and Tomatoes
Travel southwest to Skingrad and head to the West Gate. Outside, beside the stables, is a vineyard. Pick as many grapes as you can. Next, go to the East Gate of Skingrad, exit, and head north for a short distance. You'll find another farm with tomatoes. Gather as many tomatoes as possible. You should now have grapes and tomatoes in your inventory.
Brewing and Selling Potions
Open your pestle and mortar to brew potions using grapes and tomatoes. Your first ingredient must be grapes, and your second should be any food that restores fatigue. Tomatoes are suitable and easy to pick. Using these, you'll create a large batch of Restore Fatigue potions.
Once brewed, head to Imperial City's Market District. Fast-travel to spawn near the entrance, then proceed forward and turn left. Continue down the street, turn the corner, and find a building with the sign "The Merchants Inn."
Go inside and locate a green-colored character. Talk to him, choose the "barter" option, and trade all your Restore Fatigue potions for a decent amount of gold.
To continue making gold, the grapes and tomatoes need to respawn, typically after three to four days. It's best to wait three days and ten hours, but not in Skingrad; choose another location like the Imperial City.
After waiting, quick travel back to Skingrad, re-collect the ingredients, and restart the crafting and selling process.
