Marvel heroes have been loved in movies and video games. After more recent releases like the web-slinging sequel Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in 2023 or the free-to-play multiplayer shooter Marvel Rivals in 2024, There is still a lot to look forward to in 2025 and beyond. However, Marvel superhero enthusiasts are about to receive a slew of games within the next few years, starting from this.
Marvel's Blade from Bethesda Softworks and Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac Games are among the Marvel projects in the works. There is also Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, where Black Panther teams up with Captain America. Marvel's Blade teaser alone demonstrated that this game will be as stylish as it is bloody. The best part is that Arkane Lyon, who gave us the amazing Dishonoured franchise, is handling it.
There's also the Venom game from Insomniac, the data leak that exposed Insomniac's intentions for the next Marvel games. Nevertheless, it did demonstrate that there were plans for a game that focused on Spider-Man's worst enemy. Since Insomniac didn't post any updates on the cancellations about these projects, it's highly likely that the Venom game is still underway.
The Black Panther game has been receiving a lot of attention in the gaming community lately, and it appears that this trend will continue in his own narrative action game from EA. Very, very little—aside from the fact that it will be a story-driven battle game set in a Wakandan-sized sandbox, created by the team whose skills influenced Middle-earth games like God of War and Shadow of Mordor, one of the most talked about games this year.
With the huge success of the Spider-Man franchise, it's easy to understand why Insomniac's take on the classic wall-crawler is sometimes hailed as the best in all of gaming. Miles Morales became even more well-known thanks to the first game, which was a huge success overall. Despite a few hiccups, the sequel was as profitable. Fan's excitement for the upcoming threequel is not surprising. All we know is that it will likely feature Cindy Moon, sometimes known as Silk, as a playable Spider-Woman and that the scale will be larger and the stakes higher.
Marvel's Wolverine, globally adored, Canada's most notorious mutant, is now receiving the intense, visceral video game adaptation he so richly deserves. This iteration of Wolverine, once again presented by Insomniac, promises to deliver the sorrow and the savagery that is all we can really hope for. Whether it's using his adamantium claws to tear apart an unfortunate enemy or coping with the loneliness of existing for so long, Logan is the finest at what he does, another highly anticipated game.
Talks about Marvel's Iron Man have been there for a while, but the superhero hasn't received any game yet apart from being presented in Marvel Rivals, which is sad. However, an adaptation of the character by Motive Studios in collaboration with EA might save it. When it comes to making high-tech armor look amazing and sci-fi combat feel fluid, the developers who contributed to the stunning Dead Space reboot are undoubtedly experts in addition to these titles.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is now counting down the days till it arrives because this thing appeared out of nowhere. In the middle of World War II, Marvel 1943, which was brought to us by industry veteran Amy Hennig, who is renowned for creating the Uncharted franchise, allows us to play as both Captain America and Black Panther. It's an out-of-time action adventure that aims to examine the differences and dualities of two adored Marvel icons, and everything we've seen so far looks amazing, including the surroundings and the visuals.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is set to release this year, followed by Marvel's Wolverine in 2026. Hopefully, the Venom game will also launch in 2025 since Insomniac doesn't have anything else to release this year. Marvel's Blade is also expected to be released in the fall of 2026, while we are patiently waiting for the release update on Marvel's Iron Man.
