Could Star Wars Battlefront 3's revival be upon us?

The developer behind Star Wars Battlefront 3's remake, Frontwire, called Galaxy in Turmoil has announced that Valve has agreed to host the game on Steam.

President of Frontwire, Tony Fergie Romanelli, stated that after "ongoing discussions between Valve representatives and myself, Valve/Steam has agreeed to ship Galaxy in Turmoil to its millions of users for FREE."

Of course the primary issue here is whether the owners of the Star Wars IP, Disney, will allow it. Since Galaxy in Turmoil makes use of the Star Wars IP, and is unlicensed, Disney can shut it down.

"I'll be honest--I've had mild concerns myself from time to time," Romanelli explained. "However, Valve clearly lacks that same concern. By agreeing to publish Galaxy in Turmoil, Valve is assisting us in growing and ensuring the longevity of the Galaxy in Turmoil project and community as a whole."

Despite many rumors and speculations LucasArts never confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront III was in production. It wasn't until leaked information regarding the project was leaked that the existance of this game made headway into the gaming community.
