THQ Nordic Just Raised Over $200 Million to be Used on More Acquisitions
THQ looking to get more IPs
News by Grayshadow on Feb 22, 2019
THQ Nordic has been notoriously purchasing IPs to build their catalog. Acquiring titles such as DeBlob, Time Splitters, and many more. Now the company is seeking to obtain even more IPs with its $225 million raised by issuing 11 million new Class B shares.

CEO Lars Wingefors said: "Ultimately, on the very long-term basis I want all my companies to be financed through the cashflow from making great games that fans and consumers will enjoy and pay for. However, our strategy right now is to build something substantial, diversified and evergreen through acquisitions and substantial organic development growth. As you know, we are just approx 0.5% of the global market and have a long way to go before we reach the next level.
THQ Nordic has reported that they are actively developing over 77 games, which we predict are remakes of the titles they've purchased. However, the company isn't saying what all these games are.
