To The Moon Will Get An Animated Feature Film

It has been confirmed that indie title To The Moon, which is one of the few games that made me cry as I beat it, will be receiving a major production full-length animated film. The project will be a collaboration between Japan and China, the former handling main production duties while the latter is the main source of funding for the project. The budget for the project is "significant", quoted as somewhere above the budget of the animated film "Your Name".

The film project was planned and made possible in partnership with Beijing’s Ultron Event Horizon, whose CEO, Danyang Zhao, was responsible for bringing “Your Name” to China. Kan Gao will consult and play a role in the creation of the script. He has uploaded a video talking about the film where he also confirms that he is currently working on the game that will follow Finding Paradise.
