Xbox Scarlett Likely Won't Include VR Capabilities
Next Xbox may not have VR support

Do you own a VR headset? Well, a lot of people don't due to the steep price for a quality headset. The most affordable one, the PSVR, still requires about $400 if you get one on Black Friday since you'll need a PS4 Pro to use one. However, it seems that the next Xbox won't have VR support. With Microsoft's Phil Spencer stating they're giving what customers want.
Speaking to Stevivor recently, explained that the demand for VR on the next Xbox isn't high enough: “We’re responding to what our customers are asking for and… nobody’s asking for VR,” Spencer stated. “The vast majority of our customers know if they want a VR experience, there’s places to go get those. We see the volumes of those on PC and other places.”
Spencer didn't say that VR is completely out of the picture.“I think we might get there [eventually]. But yeah, that’s not where our focus is.”
Currently, Half-Life: Alyx, the latest game in the long-dormant franchise is looking to become a VR gaming trendsetter. Offering a fully realized adventure built specifically for VR. However, while the game looks impressive the price to play it is very high.
