1348 Ex Voto Guide | How to Unlock The Saint Trophy

The game 1348 Ex Voto tells the story of a knight named Aeta who is trying to find her friend Bianca. You must travel through a version of medieval Italy that is suffering from a plague. To earn the Saint Trophy, you have to finish the final fight without losing any health. This challenge takes place at the end of Chapter 9, which is set in the Castle.

After you fight many enemies, you will enter a Cathedral at the top of a hill. Here, you discover that the final boss is actually Bianca. You must defeat her across three phases while keeping all of your hearts.

How to Unlock the Saint Trophy

To get this achievement, you cannot take any damage during the entire battle. You need to empty her Guard Bar three times. Every time you clear the bar, a cutscene will play and a new phase will start. There are no checkpoints between these phases. This means you have to finish the whole fight in one try without getting hit. If you do take a hit, go to the menu and select Load, then Restart Checkpoint. Be careful not to hit the Restart Chapter button by mistake, or you will have to play the whole level again.

Combat Tips and Move Sets

Bianca is a very fast opponent. You can block her normal attacks by keeping your guard up, but you should unlock the Perfect Parry skill before this fight. This skill lets you deflect her moves and lower her Guard Bar. Look for a white glow, which tells you a strong attack is coming. You can use Perfect Parry on these as well. Watch out for the move where she swings her sword and then lunges with a dagger. The sword swing can hit you easily, and the dagger part is a strong attack. You need to time your defenses for both parts of that combo. If you take too many normal hits, you will get staggered and become unable to move, which lets her hit you with a big attack.

Using the Distance and Dodge Method

The first phase of the fight is the most basic. Her attacks are random, but the patterns stay the same. In the second and third phases, she uses more strong attacks and longer combos. A safe way to win is to keep your distance and use the Dodge move. You should stay just close enough so she keeps attacking, but far enough that her weapons do not touch you. Wait for her to lunge forward with her arms out to her sides. This is the best time to move in and strike.

Attacking Safely

When you see an opening, hit her with no more than three swipes of your sword. If you stay close for too long, she will start a new combo and hit you. After your three hits, use Dodge to move back. Sometimes Bianca will walk sideways and circle around you. When she does this, dash in for a single hit. This stops her Guard Bar from filling back up while you wait for her next big move. If she is walking toward you or standing still, she is about to attack, so stay back. Keep doing this until the fight is over. The Saint Trophy will unlock once the final cutscene ends and the credits start.
