Echoes of the End Guide | All Chapter 9 Collectibles

As you traverse the vast landscapes of Aema in Chapter 9 of Echoes Of The End, a new stage of exploration begins. Ten collectibles that improve progression and broaden the story through numerous Journal Entries, Health Upgrades, and Mana Upgrades can be found throughout this chapter.

Each collectible is hidden in different sections of the chapter, often requiring the use of the lift and water traversal mechanics. This walkthrough outlines every collectible location and optional conversation, ensuring that you can complete the chapter with all hidden items discovered.

Essential Chapter 9 Collectibles Overview

In this chapter, you will collect a balanced set of items that strengthen both combat readiness and story understanding. Chapter 9 includes a total of ten collectibles consisting of one Health Upgrade, one Mana Upgrade, seven Journal Entries, and one Optional Conversation.

It is recommended to save progress before entering complex movement areas since several collectibles require precise navigation through environmental puzzles.

Secret #1: Health Upgrade

Once you've finished the opening gate sequence, look for a narrow path that descends to the left. Continue down this twisting path until you come to a solitary chest that holds the Health Upgrade.

Spending some time exploring this section will guarantee that you get this upgrade early in the chapter, as many players tend to ignore it by continuing along the main route. Go through the first gate, take a left on the side path, and find the chest at the end. 

Optional Conversation #1: Lift Puzzle Reward

Once the lift puzzle section is finished, the chapter's sole Optional Conversation becomes accessible. Go to the cracked wall opening next to the torch fixture after using the elevator mechanism to reach the upper platform. By interacting here, you can open up more conversations that deepen Ryn's comprehension of what is happening. 

Secret #2: Warped Helmet Journal

After the initial boat ride and docking, open the gate mechanism and go underneath the main platform. The Warped Helmet Journal is hidden behind a stone wall.

This entry continues the documentation of Aema's ancient relics. Because many hidden areas are only accessible by alternate landings, be sure to check both sides of each dock when you're out on the water. 

Secret #3: Faded Notes Journal

When controlling the boat again, steer left toward an optional docking point rather than the main story route. After docking, defeat the enemy guarding the area and locate the Faded Notes Journal behind the large statue structure. This collectible deepens the lore associated with the surrounding ruins.

Secret #4: Tribute Journal

Proceed along the main story to the next docking zone. The Tribute Journal chest is located just above the dock. Climb the nearby ledge beside your landing point to reach it. The chest remains visible and accessible once you explore beyond the immediate path.

Secret #5: Faded Notes (Second Discovery)

Another optional exploration zone can be accessed by solving the bridge puzzle. Head to the secondary dock and pick up the chest located directly in front of the statue landmark. This is the second entry in the Faded Notes Journal in Chapter 9, building on the previous ones you have already obtained. 

Secret #6: Mana Upgrade

In this chapter, the Mana Upgrade is located in the main plot area. Once your boat is docked, enter the adjacent building and look for a movable cube.

You can climb up to the ledge holding the Mana Upgrade chest by pushing or moving the cube to create a platform. Our total mana capacity rises when you collect this item, allowing you to use your abilities for longer. 

Secret #7: Faded Notes (Final Discovery)

After advancing past the final gate puzzle, another optional docking point becomes available. Dock your vessel and move behind the large arch gate to locate the final Faded Notes Journal. This entry completes the series of writings tied to the events surrounding the Faded Notes narrative thread.

Secret #8: Merchant's Hoard Journal

Proceed into the cave area that gives way to the village settlement area. To find the Merchant's Hoard Journal, ascend the stairs and enter the locked room.

This document describes the regional trade networks and sheds light on the economic systems of Aema.  Examine every room carefully because the visibility of this collectible may be obscured by several interactive objects. 

Secret #9: Set of Bells Journal

During the section where you descend through a slide sequence, avoid progressing forward after you land. Instead, move around to the right-hand side beneath the slide exit. The chest containing the Set Of Bells Journal is located here. This journal adds to the lore surrounding ceremonial practices within Aema.

Secret #10: Stone Tablet Journal

The last collectible of the chapter is the Stone Tablet Journal, found along the valley path following the chapter's boss encounter. This entry connects the historical lore of previous discoveries and prepares the narrative for the upcoming chapters.
