Little Witch in the Woods Guide | How to Find Blue Witch Chalk and Green Forest

Blue Witch's Chalk is a special item used to draw and activate witch patterns found throughout the world in Little Witch in the Woods.

How to Make Tears of the Moon Potion

Ellie learns the recipe for Tears of the Moon after drinking the Enhanced Intellect Potion. Then, speak with Diane to receive Sacred Water and mix it with the Moonflower to make Moonflower Water.

Use this to craft the Tears of the Moon potion, completing the "Concoct the Moon's…" quest.

Continue the Prickly Vine Core Quest

To grow the plant, follow the prickly vines uphill to the location where a Nutrition Potion is required. Once it's grown, collect any needed ingredients nearby and activate the Witch's Pattern to build a ladder. This is important because the Nutrition Potion effect does not last forever.

Continue following the prickly vines as you enter the Green Forest Waterfall area. Pass the first lake and cross the bridge, heading right until another lake is found. Here you can find two fences with Witch Symbols.

One can be activated immediately; however, the other requires Witch's Chalk. You can purchase Witch's Chalk from Diane for 25 Luna Coins, or it can be found later on, farther in the forest. Activating the Witch's Pattern here also creates a shortcut back home.

How to Make the Earmuff Potion

Ellie needs to stop the loud Gaga Bird nearby, or she cannot continue past this point. To do this, craft an Earmuff Potion.

You can purchase the recipe from Diane for 10 Luna Coins and gather the ingredients: two One-Eyed Frogs, two Wetland Grass, and two Blue Moon Butterflies, which can be caught with the Witch's Bug Net.

Once it's crafted, drink the potion near the bird to drive it away and clear the path forward.

Into the Green Forest Depths

After defeating the Gaga Bird, you have to move into the depths of the Green Forest. Although this area is slightly maze-like, it is easy to navigate.

Then collect useful resources such as mud, Tinkle Spiders (approach slowly to avoid scaring them), and Mandrakes. Be careful when pulling Mandrakes because Ellie can only handle one per day, or she will faint.

However, using the Earmuff Potion allows collecting more than one Mandrake safely.

This area also contains a hidden White Chalk behind a Honey Pumpkin, which requires a Weed Terminator Potion to access.

Finding the Blue Witch's Chalk

Lastly, head toward the center of the map, where the middle area is covered with clouds. Then collect more Twinkle spiders if needed near the signpost and investigate the garden door.

After a brief conversation with Virgil, Ellie will discover Blue Witch's Chalk on the ground. You can then return to the area where Rubrum was found and complete the Witch's Pattern to unlock the mysterious door.
