Lunar Eclipse Guide | Early Key Items and Locked Doors
A fast route to grab the most important early keys and clear the locks that slow progression.

The main reason people get stuck in Lunar Eclipse is because they don't have the right item. The best way to stay ahead is to get a few core unlocks as soon as you can, then use them in the right order so you don't have to go back through the same halls.
In the Wolf Locker, look for the Technical Room Key
The Technical Room Key is the fastest early key to get because it gets rid of one of the biggest roadblocks to progress. Go through the building until you get to the locker area where the Wolf Locker is.
Look in every locker that looks a little off, and pay attention to anything that seems like a "single-use" hiding spot. The Technical Room Key is the reward that moves the route forward once the right locker is opened.

Take the Basement Key to open the lower path
Once the key momentum starts, it's best to go straight for the Basement Key. This is the thing that makes a dead-end lower section into a usable path. The Basement Key is usually placed in a way that makes it easy to miss if you rush past a small interaction point.
So, when the environment changes to storage and utility spaces, slow down. Look in drawers, on shelves, and in any container that looks like it is "too neat" in a messy room.

Set up the elevator switch so that the shortcut stays open
The Elevator is more than just a ride. It is a travel shortcut that turns long loops into short hops, but only if the switch setup is done right. When you get to the Elevator's control point, use the switch panel to set up the power flow.
Recheck the things you can interact with nearby if something seems like it "did nothing." The Elevator route often hides the real progress step close to the panel, not far away.

Use the Gallery Storage Key to unlock the storage area
The Gallery Storage Key is the kind of thing that seems like you don't need it until you do. As soon as you get it, go to the Gallery Storage door and use it right away. The storage area usually has the next set of progression tools.
When you get to the door, make sure you have the right key item, then go in and search the whole place. Survival horror games love to hide important items in corners and on shelves that are hard to see.

To save time, keep the route clean
Once you have these keys, the best way to save time is to stay organized. Quickly check every newly unlocked room again, pick up anything that looks like it will help with later puzzles, and don't forget about doors that opened up after you picked up a key. In Lunar Eclipse, early keys almost never open just one door. They usually open a chain.
