It's very important to find enough Ammo to stay alive, but it's not always easy. To get Ammo you usually have to fight UESC or other enemies to get it.

This guide shows you the best ways to get bullets fast and how to build up a supply without spending too much.

Hunting Basic Enemies

Most UESC forces have Ammo on them when they die. A good trick is to go to quiet areas at the start of a match and take out simple enemies.

If you leave within the first ten minutes, you can get out before other Runners show up. This lets you fill your pockets without getting into big fights that waste the bullets you just found.

Using Your Credits

If you want to buy Ammo from the Armory, you will need plenty of Credits. The best way to get them is to bring back Valuables and Salvage from your runs.

You can sell these items for a lot of money in Marathon. While it is usually better to save your money for Faction Upgrades, you can use it for Ammo if you really need to.

Running as a Rook

Playing as a Rook is the easiest way to get Ammo for free. Since you use a basic Runner Shell, you do not lose any of your own gear if you die.

You can kill basic enemies, take their Ammo, and use an Ammo Box right before you leave to get even more. It is a safe way to stock up while also looking for items to sell.

Sponsored Kits and Free Gear

Factions will sometimes give you Sponsored Kits for free. You get these by finishing Priority Contracts or Codex Challenges, and some are even available every day when the shop resets in Marathon.

You can take these kits into a run and leave immediately if you just want to keep the Ammo. It is a great way to get gear without any risk.

Using the Armory

Buying Ammo directly should be your last choice. It costs a lot of Credits that you could spend on Rare Weapons or Faction Upgrades.

Only spend your money this way if you have no other options. There are plenty of other ways to find what you need without draining your bank account.
