Sound Samples function as a collectible activity in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. You unlock them during the mission Breaking Through The Noise, after which you can begin locating audio beats from different points across the city.

Locating Sound Samples

To locate a Sound Sample left by Aaron Davis, interact with the green audio waveform hologram and listen to the sound it generates. You then zoom in, examine the area, and identify the object that matches the pattern and rhythm in the recording.

Move to the correct distance, record the sound, and complete the puzzle. When you finish every Sound Sample in Manhattan, you unlock the Purple Reign suit.

Hell’s Kitchen Sound Sample

This sample appears during Breaking Through The Noise and is required before you can access the rest of the sample points in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

The sound comes from a buoy located north of the scan point behind a shipping container—zip to the container to reach the recording distance and capture the sound.

Harlem Sound Sample

The Harlem sample sits along a diagonal street west of the West Harlem train tracks. The sound comes from the trains moving along the tracks. Aim your microphone at the tracks and wait until a train passes, then record the sound.
