SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream Guide | Alice Breakdown

Here’s a Character Breakdown of Alice in SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream.

Alice is a light-element tank character, but she doesn't fit the typical tank role. Instead, she feels more like a high-damage fighter. With the highest HP among my characters and advanced skills that seamlessly link together, she excels at delivering consistent and safe damage. In this guide, I’ll go over her combos, how to effectively use her skills, and share her unique air combo reset.

Alice's Key Feature: Air Combo Reset

One of Alice's standout abilities is her air combo reset. Like other characters, she can perform several aerial attacks and dashes and then continue attacking before landing. However, Alice can stay airborne longer using a special reset technique. Jump, perform 1-3 light attacks, dash, then follow with 3 more light attacks. Hold the heavy attack button to unleash an upward slash.

Afterward, you can continue with more light attacks and dash again, repeating the process as long as you have enough air. It’s an impressive trick to keep her airborne and maintain her damage output.

Basic Combat Options

Alice's hold light attack can be linked with up to five regular attacks. For example, you can chain light attack, hold light attack, or light attack, light attack, or hold light attack. The hold light attack is a powerful spinning slash, and Alice can execute it after any normal attack. She can also chain heavy attacks into her light combos, transitioning smoothly into a heavy attack after any light attack up to five in a row.

Her aerial combo consists of 1-2 light attacks followed by a heavy spinning down strike, which I love using on most enemies.

Alice's Skill Breakdown

Alice's skills can be linked to a deadly combo. Her L1 skill is Enhanced Armament, which boosts her attacks and enhances her advanced skills, giving her sword a glowing effect similar to her appearance in the anime.

  • R Storm Blade – A spinning attack that hits all nearby enemies. It’s best used when surrounded, but Alice doesn’t move forward during this attack, so ensure enemies are in range. In Enhanced Armament mode, it creates a tornado that lifts weaker foes.
  • Spiral Thrust – A ranged attack that sends out a light-based energy wave. It has a wide range, hitting multiple enemies like a train plowing through its path. In Enhanced Armament, it gains more size, hits, and range.
  • Kalula Color – A quick, stationary slash that provokes enemies, drawing their attention to Alice. It’s her primary tank ability due to the provoking effect and is best used on the most dangerous enemies.
  • Light Ray Concentration – Alice's ultimate attack, a powerful beam of light aimed at a single target for massive damage, mirroring her ultimate move from the anime.

Passive Abilities

Alice's passive, Osman Mantis's Boon, gives her a chance to block damage from a single attack. Since she lacks healing or damage mitigation, she depends on supporting characters to survive. If you’re playing as a support, be sure to monitor her HP closely.

For Alice players, a good secondary passive is Spirit Charge, which offers a chance to heal when hitting weak points. Mid-tier Idle boosts healing from skills and crystals, making it especially useful since Alice doesn’t have self-healing abilities. Iron Flesh (from Agil) reduces damage taken during advanced skills, while Admin Privileges grants random buffs when leveling up Awakening. Finally, Support Defense extends the timing for perfect dodges and guards.

Overall, Alice is a versatile and powerful character who can deal significant damage while holding her ground in battle, but she will always need strong support to stay alive.
