Power levelling your Conjuration skill in Oblivion Remastered can be done quickly with the proper setup. This method only takes around 30 minutes to get to level 100.

Slow Method

The slow method is easier to access early on in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, but is highly inefficient. Start at the Mages Guild in Chorrol, near the North Gate. Go into the basement, where you will find a bed you can sleep in if you are a Guild member. If you are not a member, talk to any mage upstairs to start.

Once in the basement, just keep repeating your summoning spell. Every cast gives you experience depending on how much magicka was spent. Let your magicka run out and rest to recharge it, repeating the cycle. The only downside is the wasted sleeping time, which makes the process too lengthy. It's better, but not the best.

Fast Method

For this method, you'll need a lot of gold. Once you have a lot of gold, you must brew many magicka potions so you don't have to rest. With your potions in place, equip your most potent conjuration spell that you can cast without exhausting yourself, and place the potions on your hotbar.

Start casting your summon spell uninterrupted, and the moment you have no magicka left, drink two restore magicka potions. They have a background timer, and you can continue summoning and gaining XP without interruption. The heart icon at the bottom left of the screen will indicate the duration of the potion's effects in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

Spell Cost

Your speed at levelling in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is based on the spell's cost in magicka. Because XP is a ratio of how much magicka you spend, it isn't efficient to play cheap spells such as "Summon Skeleton." You would have to cast more than a higher-cost spell to level the same amount.

Consider using more advanced summoning spells that match the amount of magicka you have available instead. If you find yourself draining too much magicka, switch to a little weaker spell or switch between two spells to keep things going nicely. The trick is to consume as much magicka as possible without wasting time recovering it.

How to be Efficient

Efficiency is about controlling your spell cost and potion timing in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Small gains are beneficial since you repeat the same thing hundreds of times. If you can optimise your build so you don't overcast your spells, you'll save a lot of time in the long term. As you level up, your spells cost less magicka, so look to optimise which spells you cast to get the most effect.

Conjuration Trainers

Another way of levelling up in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is through the Chorrol Mages Guild. Alberic Litte, usually upstairs during the day, provides Conjuration training. Make the most of this by training five times per level.

When bedtime and levelling time arrive, sleep in the basement bed, then return to Alberic for additional training. He will train you up to level 50; then, spamming is enough to complete the rest. Make sure you have enough gold to start the training.
