The First Descendant Season 3 is here, bringing a lot of new material and significant changes.
This guide will help you navigate the new season smoothly. No matter how long you've been playing or if this is your first time back, knowing how to approach Season 3 content correctly will save you time and keep you from getting lost.

Getting Started
First, check your in-game Mailbox for Gifts from the game's creators. You shouldn't miss these things because they contain helpful information.
After reviewing your mail, consider whether you need to make any changes to your character build.
A lot of things will change with the new season, which could impact how you have them set up now in The First Descendant.
New Player Boost Event
Use the boost event that appears when you open the game if you're starting from scratch or coming back after a long break.
With this feature, you can make a new Descendant at level 40, skipping the whole campaign and going straight to hard mode material.
This boost lets you start endgame activities right away, but if you are an experienced player, you won't need this.
Build Optimization
The enemies in the new area are much more challenging and can easily kill you if you aren't ready in The First Descendant.
Make sure that the build you are using has sufficient Health and Survivability. In the new content, different Descendants perform better in other settings.
Enzo is great at story tasks and completing quests, while Serena is great at fighting Colossi. Adjust your loadout according to the material you're working on.

Battle Pass
Check the Battle Pass to see if it meets your needs before buying it..
The free battle pass offers tasks and rewards that are worth it, even if you don't buy the premium version.
By knowing ahead of time what the battle pass requirements are, you can improve your gameplay by using certain weapons or finishing specific tasks while moving through other content in The First Descendant.
Season 3 Main Quest
To get to Axion Planes, you need to finish Season 3's main quest line. Do what it says to do in the quest goals to open this new area and learn how to use vehicles for getting around and finishing missions.
The quest gives you access to everything in Season 3, so finish it as soon as possible.
Getting Nell
Nell is the most critical Descendant this season. You can either pay 900 Caliber to buy her from the shop or get her parts by playing the game.
When you go down the farming path, go to the library menu and choose the Descendant area. Nell is at the bottom of the list. If you click on her, all the parts and materials you need will be shown.

For each part you need, go to the "Acquisition" menu to see where you can grow it. To keep track of your progress toward each piece, use the targeting system to click on individual items in The First Descendant.
When you hit this goal, the Targeted Reward System shows you the progress you have made in collecting the items. To get the most out of this method, make sure you always target before farming.
Wall Crasher Boss Priority
In terms of daily tasks, Wall Crasher is one of the most important ones to do. Even though this boss is complex, matchmaking works for it, so bring your best build or Serena if she's available.
Wall Crasher drops Nell codes and other valuable things that you need to make. Make sure to keep an eye on the event when the Wall Crasher arrives.
Trigger Module System
To use the new Trigger Module system, you have to finish a quest from the Training Instructor. Once you agree to the quest, go to the spot marked on the map to activate the Prime Hands.
You need to activate the Arche Trigger and need certain materials, such as the Crystallization Catalyst, use Energy Activator once, and reach Arche Tuning level 40.
At level 40 of Arche Tuning, Callus is a Descendant and an Energy Activator.
The Refined Axium Crystal is the most crucial part because it is the last thing you need to make Trigger Modules in The First Descendant.
These modules add more ways to customize your Descendants by introducing a new equipment spot that becomes available once unlocked.

Refined Axium Crystal Crafting
On the map, go to Anais to find research options for making Refined Axium Crystals. To see the crystal recipe, go to her menu and choose "enhancement materials."
Each item comes with information on how to get it and maps out where the farms are located.
Since most materials can be found in Axion Planes, this new area should be your principal place to farm for the materials.
Event Management
The event menu in Season 3 lets you reach both new and old events. If you are a returning player, you can still complete old events with plenty of time remaining.
To complete the Breakthrough with Nell event, you'll need to unlock Nell and utilize her for various tasks, which may take some time in The First Descendant.
Into the Axion Planes Event
This event offers daily and weekly goals that you can complete, each with essential rewards. As part of daily missions, you have to complete basic tasks and fight enemies to get materials like Energy Control Cores and Accelerators.
The benefits of weekly goals are better, especially for Nell farming. In Axion, completing 10 operational area tasks gives you Nell parts, which makes this goal very important for progression.
Another weekly task involves completing Wall Crasher encounters multiple times to get the Trigger Modules.

Legacy Content Considerations
Even though new content should come first, don't stop doing old things. Sigma Sector daily quests give bonuses for progressing through Arche Tuning and character progression boxes.
These tasks remain helpful if you are working on the Descendant progression or if you are a returning player who hasn't completed the old content.
To get rewards in the Nier Automata collaboration event, you have to play for a certain amount of time. You can move normally through normal gameplay without having to pay extra attention in The First Descendant.
