The first few hours of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will determine how lively your island is. A strong start helps you make better social connections, get to new places faster, and keep things moving smoothly after that.

It's easy to make the best early plan. Make a clean group of Miis, keep their requests coming, and unlock tools that make the island more active.

Start with a focused list of islands

Start with Miis that look and act very different from each other. That makes it easier to keep track of who is doing what, and it also makes the island feel busy right away. It's better to have a small group of actors with different backgrounds than to fill the space too quickly with people who all feel the same way.

Before you decorate, focus on social growth

Your island needs the energy that comes from friendships and daily interactions. Add people, fix their small problems, and check on shared spaces often. An island that is busy tells better stories than one that looks nice on the first day.

As soon as you can, unlock creative tools. The island stops feeling basic when new facilities open. You have more control over how your island grows with Palette House, more buildings, and layout tools. Do the hard design work after the social side starts to work.
