Top Five Games for Gamer Couple

Video games house some of the best stories in entertainment today. Some of them thrilling tales teeming with dark characters and others adventurous stories built supernatural themes. However sometimes these stories set the perfect conditions for romance. Whether they’re tragic, sweet, or sometimes just messed up we can’t help but love them. These are the top five couples in video games.

5. Jackie and Jenny

Childhood sweethearts and longtime friends Jackie Estacado and Jenny Romano grew up together. Dating for years Jackie keeps Jenny oblivious of her true nature, fearing that he’ll lose what matters most to him. In the Darkness you see Jenny is the small ray of light that keeps Jackie from fully succumbing to his demons. 

Even after her death Jenny continues to haunt and protect him from The Darkness. However at the end of The Darkness 2 fate has a different agenda for these two lovers, something worst than any hell for Jackie.

4. Ico and Yorda

After escaping certain doom Ico finds himself face to face with Yorda. With nothing to go on, not even a common language, Ico grabs Yorda’s hand and protects her without hesitation. Throughout this short journey Ico and Yorda attempt to solve puzzles, defeat shadow creatures and attempt to flee the Queen’s castle. What would make a small boy challenge certain death for someone they just met? Virtue, loyalty or perhaps kindness?

3. Link and Zelda

The story of Link and Zelda has been told many times, spanning many variations and universes. However in each story there is a hero and a princess, with the exception being Skyward Sword. Whether the time or the universe these twohave been brought together so many times, with their reincarnation reuniting once again. If that’s not fate I don’t know what is.

2. Wander and Mono

How far would you go for someone you love? Would you steal, break laws and make a deal with the devil? Wander did and never looked back, accepting that he wouldn’t live past the trials set in front of him. 

Confronted by an entity called Dormin Wander is tasked with traveling through a Forbidden Land and eliminate sixteen creatures called Colossi. In exchange Dormin would bring Mono back to life. Wander succeeds and Mono returns to life, but Wander dies before he could ever see his love open her eyes.

1. Cloud and Tifa

Tifa remains the glue that holds not only the entire group in Final Fantasy 7 together but keeps Cloud grounded. Despite knowing his memories are a lie Tifa remains adamant in keeping Cloud stable, even putting his mind back together after shattering.

In Advent Children Cloud still suffers from his past mistakes, unable to coup with failing to save Aerith. Perhaps that’s what love is? Standing by someone you care about regardless of how powerful pain is or how long it last.
