Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Guide | Farming Sepith, Experience, and Quartz

If you're solely relying on story battles in the early stages of Trails in the Sky, unlocking orbment slots and purchasing quartz can feel slow.

You can use a simple farming method that provides plenty of Sepith, experience, and sellable items in a short time. This strategy also makes the early chapters much smoother.

When to Start

When Scherazard joins the party, start farming after the mayoral robbery event. Her area-of-effect crafts and strong arts support make defeating multiple enemies much easier.

Finding the Cave

Then you can head to the marked location on the map and search for a cave entrance hidden behind some bushes. This area is filled with respawning monsters, which makes it the perfect area for repeated battles.

Battle Strategy

Using Scherazard's AoE crafts and arts, draw all the creatures in the area together and strike them all at once. Then, once enemies are weakened, switch to tactical combat mode and clean them up quickly.

Farming Loop

After each of your victories, you can exit the cave and re-enter to reset the monsters. This loop can be repeated as often as you need to stockpile Sepith, experience, and item drops.

Rewards and Benefits

Sepith: Used to unlock all orbment slots and buy quartz early.

Experience: Levels the party quickly, making future encounters easier.

Sellable Items: Extra potions and materials can be sold for mira to buy gear.

Recommended Quartz to Buy Early

Start by unlocking orbment slots first and then prioritize quartz that will improve survival and damage output:

Action Quartz: Increases speed, allowing faster turns in combat.

Attack or Fire Bolt Quartz: Reliable early offensive arts to deal damage.

HP or Defense Quartz: Keeps squishier characters alive in tougher fights.

EP Quartz: Provides extra EP for casting more arts during farming.

Lastly, you can use the game's speed-up option if it's available to complete farming loops faster. This will greatly reduce the time spent grinding while still giving the maximum rewards.
