Understanding The Under Another's Roof Building Job

When you receive the hint for Under Another's Roof, you are asked to complete a Four-Rafter House as part of the building job. To finish this task, the structure must have White Walls, a Window, and a Door. These are the key parts the game is looking for before it marks the construction job as complete.

You may already have some or all of these objects in your Inventory, possibly from earlier questing or exploration. If you notice the required pieces are already there, you can use them directly for this job. If they are missing, there are still simple ways to get them without getting stuck.

Getting The Required Building Items

One way to gather what you need is to reuse items from other areas. You can remove matching construction pieces from other structures in the world, carry them back, and place them on the Four-Rafter House. 

You simply take them off those existing builds, then return to the Under Another's Roof location and reuse them on the house you are trying to finish.

You can also create new items through crafting. Open your Inventory, go to your Bag, and press the Square button. This opens the Construction Menu, which contains a full list of building items you can craft. 

From here, you can make White Walls, Windows, Doors, and any other pieces needed for construction. This method is useful if you do not want to strip items from other buildings or cannot find the right pieces nearby.

Using The Construction Menu Effectively

Inside the Construction Menu, you see a variety of structures and parts that can be crafted. Focus on the ones required for the Four-Rafter House first. Make sure you have enough materials to craft White Walls, at least one Window, and a Door so you do not run out mid-build.

Once those items are crafted, they are added to your Inventory and can be selected when you are in building mode. This menu can feel a little overwhelming at first, but for this specific Under Another's Roof job, you only need a small set of items. Keeping your attention on these pieces makes the process easier to handle.

Placing The Window, Walls, And Door

Start the final phase of the Under Another's Roof job by placing the Windows on the house. Select the Window from your available pieces, then attach it to one of the Walls of the Four-Rafter House.
