The First Descendant: How To Unlock Sharen

The First Descendant has a fantastic cast of characters, and Sharen is one of the coolest descendants coming in with that all mecha body (or would it be chassis in her case?). This guide covers how you can farm her for free. It involves a lot of RNG so buckle up for some grinding.

 It is recommended to go to Anais and turn on tracking for Sharen so you are notified when the mission you complete drops the items that are needed. On that note, to unlock Sharen, you will need 400,000 gold for the research and crafting process, and the research time will take 16 hours and you'll need to collect the following items:

- Sharen Enhanced Cells (1)
- Sharen Stabilizer (1)
- Sharen Catalyst (1)
- Sharen Code (1)

 The first item you need is the Sharen Enhanced Cells. This item can be obtained by completing the Seed Vault mission, located in the Echo Swamp area. Before you can access this mission, you must first unlock the Echo Swamp area. Once unlocked, you will find the Seed Vault mission in the Abandoned Zone. There is a fast travel point directly across from the mission's location. The Seed Vault mission has a 20% drop rate for the Sharen Enhanced Cells, and it's entirely RNG-based.

 The second item you need is the Sharen Stabilizer. This item is obtained by completing the Chapel Mission in the Derelict Covert Zone. To access this mission, you must first unlock the Derelict Covert Zone, which features a fast travel point at the outpost.

Before the Chapel Mission becomes available, you must complete all the blue missions in the campaign. After doing so, you will face a final boss. Defeat the boss, then interact with the podium in the mission area. The Sharen Stabilizer drop will be indicated in the bottom right corner of your screen. This mission has a 20% drop rate for the Sharen Stabilizer and may require multiple attempts. In my case, it took over 10 tries to get the item.

 

Next, you need to obtain the Sharen Catalyst. This item is located in the Asylum Mission within the Agna Desert area. First, unlock the Agna Desert area, then complete three preliminary missions to unlock the Asylum Mission.

The Asylum Mission is longer and features a 20% drop rate for the Sharen Catalyst. I’d recommend bringing a stronger character to do this mission, otherwise you may be stuck here all day.

 

Finally, you need to obtain the Sharen Code. This item is also located in the Agna Desert, but you will need to clear out three specific areas before accessing it: the Waste Area, the Revenue Area, and the Storage Area. Once these areas are cleared, you can access the Mining Site, where the Caligo mission is located.

The Caligo mission has a 20% drop rate for the Sharen Code. After defeating the boss and collecting the loot, finish the mission and look for an interact button. Completing this interaction will trigger the mission complete screen, where the Sharon Code drop will be indicated.

 

Once you have all four pieces, you can head back to Albion to craft Sharen. In Albion, go to Anais, the NPC responsible for crafting. You will need to have all four pieces and 400,000 gold.

Talk to Anais, and if you have all the necessary items and gold, initiate the research request. The crafting process will take 16 hours. You can log out of the game, turn off your PC or console, and the research will still progress during this time.

By following these steps, you will successfully unlock and craft Sharen, adding a powerful new character to your team. Good luck and may the RNG be in your favor!
