Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been all over the internet since its launch. With everyone locked in quarantine, many are looking to gaming as a way to pass the time. Despite Switch's being in short supply and suffering from bot purchasers Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold very well. So much so that it passed both Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Even going as far as to become the 2nd best selling game this year, behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Animal Crossing has always been a major franchise within Nintendo's goldmine of IPs. With the 3DS installment moving 12.45 million copies worldwide since launching in 2013 and since then fans have been demanding a new game. With the pandemic, Animal Crossing is the ideal game to play as it has no end and can put players into an endless loop of "Just one more thing". As you collect new items to decorate your island and invite friends to trade.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available for Nintendo Switch.
